President Resigning

It is with some sadness that I will be resigning my post as club President effective immediately.

I will just be blunt and tell you that I no longer have the passion and desire to serve in this capacity….some of that is kids….some of that is time…some of that is money. You guys deserve someone who is actually going to do something…I think I have demonstrated that I am not that person.

Additionally – because of my actions in prior years…the club remains fractured and there still seems to be “two sides” if you will. I need to get out of the way and not be a “topic of discussion” any longer. Removing myself from any type of leadership position will hopefully promote some healing.

This decision has been carefully thought out – and it is final. I will not be talked out of my decision.

Thanks for letting me serve when I di….and I apologize for my shortcomings. All paperwork I have / had will be placed in the box at the club so the remaining board members can deal with it appropriately.

Tournament and Skins March 14th

There will be a tournament and skins this Sunday at Saticoy Regional Golf Course…Check in @ 730 – tee off at 8a. $75 breakdown = $27 for green fee and cart, $20 tournament, $20 skins and closies, $8 club fee.

Meeting Cancelled

Tonights meeting has been canceled due to the fact that I was unable to inform enough people via mail, email, phone, etc. We will reschedule the meeting for the week after next weeks tournament on March 19th.

Oh My! A Meeting?

February Schedule Change

Super Bowl Sunday is February 7th…which was our original date that I put out beforehand. The following weekend is Valentines Day. One weekend for the guys followed by a weekend for the girls?

Instead of waiting until the third week of the month when most clubs that others of you belong to have tournaments…we will go ahead and change our date to the first Saturday of the month on 02.06.2010 @ 8a. $75 again.

We will go right after the Amigo Golf Club….hopefully the pot will be bigger as we will try to get some of those guys to donate play too.

I will send out a flier to all of you guys on this as well.

Well it wasn’t the biggest turnout ever but we did manage to squeeze nine guys out on what was a really beautiful Sunday morning. Evidently, if you believe everyone…including the winners…we all played like shit. Next month we will be holding the tourney on Saturday morning instead of Sunday morning. If we get more guys we may actually switch to Saturdays all together…but for now it will just be a trial run for February.
